Baby got back

Turkey backs!
My girl just went to Bill the Butcher and picked up a bunch of turkey necks and backs for me!

Sing it with me now, My Bullmastiff don't want none unless you got...

In hindsight she proly should have frozen them a bit first, then FoodSavered them. Now she has a juicy mess to clean up. I have to let her make her own mistakes now and then.

Dogs & Bottles

I don't kiss and tell
Thursday night my best girl took me on a date! We went to the Woodinville Third Thursday Wine Walk. It was Dogs&Bottles night--pooches could come in and tour with peoples!

You were supposed to bring a wine glass but she thought it would be better to bring a plastic cup with me in tow. She got some funny looks and I pretended I didn't know her, but she said "Hey I bought tickets like everyone else." She totally rode it 'til the wheels fell off!

What else got us looks (and lots of lovin') was my size. Most of the dogs were housecat-sized with a few Labs here and there. I was a perfect gentleman though and kissed every lady that asked. And a few that didn't.

Our favorite by far was Dirty Bucket Brewery. My girl highly recommends the Black Lab Stout. She also enjoyed Project V Distillery. She brought home some of their Double Silo and Chai infused vodka. Not wanting to leave me out, my girl bought me some Bowser Beer. I can't have it because my girl says it isn't grain-free. Tonight she's poppin' open the Farm Boy Red from Smasne Cellars alongside goodies from Bill the Butcher.  Check out some of our haul below!

Just try and take it.

Don't worry. Me and da squirrel got this.

Kick Fetch

This my friends, is the Chuckit! Kick Fetch. My girl kicks it or bounces it, and I go get it!

It is made out of canvas(?), foam, and some sort of rubber coating.  Kick Fetch is great for interactive romps in the yard and way easier on my teeth than the soccer ball or basketball. Because it is softer, it's also easier on my girl's furniture when we play in the house as opposed to my Jolly Ball. Make no mistake though--if left alone, I'd probably make confetti out of it.

I wouldn't rate this as high as my Jolly Ball because I've had that for over a year and it still looks great. Plus it can be left with me unsupervised. It's my daily mission to destroy it.

Kick Fetch still gets the job done and wears me out.
I give it 3 outta 5 paws.

Minus one for it's possible destructibility and my girl says I didn't get it by my good looks alone, so minus another for it's cost (she paid $29.99).

Coffee Break!

Before finishing the second coat on my deck this morning, my girl went and got coffee. Without me. She did bring me back some whip cream from one of my barista friends so I forgive her.

I like to flex my muscles while I eat. Burns off the calories.

No, I can still see some in there!

Aw, come on lady! Take the lid off!

Project Deck

My girl and that guy overhauled my deck this weekend.
I think the lighter color makes my fawn coat really POP!

What do you think? Don't I make this deck look awesome?

Puppy Breath

This was one of my first outings to Mill creek Town Center. I quickly learned that if someone said "Aw, he's so cute!" I should sit and look even more ka-yoot, thereby getting more treats.

"Please sir, I want some more."

Want more Puppy Breath? You can sniff it out here and here. Oh and here.

A Swamp, Big Tree, & a Bus

What a beautiful Labor Day! We got up early and headed to Tiger Mountain for some light hiking. Everybody and their dog had the same idea. No, really! Lots of fellow 4-leggers on the trails today.

Swamp Monster? More like Cuteness Monster!

Does this pond make my butt look big?

We did Swamp Monster>Big Tree>Wetlands>Bus Loop. That ended up being about 3miles I think. I got to get my beans out and smell everything.  Plus my girl packed a few of my things in her bag--she keeps forgetting I have my very own, very sexy EZYDog pack--so i didnt have to carry anything! I have to give myself a scratch on the butt for training her so well.

September Happenings

If you find yourself sitting around, licking your junk looking for something to do,
check these out:

Sept 9 Riverdog Dash--mud, obstacles, water! This sounds like a blast and it support the WDFW Karelian Bear Dog Team. I got to meet two of them, Colter and Savute & they are awesome!

Sept 9 Bow Wow Meow Luau--that's a mouthful! Come have a good time and maybe take home a real dog, instead of a hot dog? Now, where'd I leave my coconut bra...

Sept 20 Third Thurs Wine Walk-- this month's theme is Dogs & Bottles. What could be more fun (and possibly hilarious)?

Sept 23 Dogtoberfest--hey 4-leggers! You can run/walk the 5k, sniff out points for the Scrambl, strutt in the CityDog cover model search, and chill out in the Dog Lounge or tasting garden!

Sept 25 NW Cellars Tasting--benefits Seattle Humane Society.  Pick up a bottle of Tail Waggin' Red or Whiskers White.

Okay so I don't have that many activities posted, but I'm still working on it. Feel free to let me know about any events in your area and I'll post them here! Help a brother out, people!

Lucky kind of Saturday

My girl and her guy woke up with a sense of adventure this morning. Well, that and a hankering for some really good coffee. They decided to wake me up too and sniff out Lucky Jack's Latte in Redmond.

When we pulled into the parking lot I was already excited. I could see an entrance to Marymoor Park and there was a Corgi out front under a brightly colored umbrella. I could tell this was a place I was going to be welcome.

We walked into the yummy smell of pastry and I could smell whip cream too! There were bone shaped tables for the peoples and a small selection of dog toys and accesories. My girl placed her order and then it happened--she ordered me a Doggie Peanut Butter Puppucino with a banana!

Oh it was torture waiting while my girl chatted up Julie, the owner. I tried to pass the time visiting with another dog that came in, and by schmoozing a few of the cyclists that wandered in. A gentleman named Keith asked to take my picture. Meanwhile, my girl and her guy got their "mighty fine" americano and macchiato. Where was mine I thought?  I tried to inspect everyone's drink to make sure they mistakenly didn't get my Doggie Peanut Butter Puppucino with a banana, but no such luck. We went outside and sat under a bright umbrella and waited.

Then the clouds parted and cherubic puppies howled out as Julie said "Order up for Harrison!"
I almost piddled from excitement as the guy was handed a plaid doggy bowl! Before I knew it my muzzle was plunged into yummy peanut buttery coolness! My girl didn't have time to get a great shot since I made fast work of slurping it up!

I can't wait to go back and have another and my girl was excited that Julie took just as much care with the human drinks as with my Puppucino. She went on and on. Something about her "real italian macchiato." I don't know. I couldn't hear her over the slurping.

Ain't no sunshine when she's gone

These pics were taken a while ago when I was smaller, but I do the same thing every time my girl sneaks out. Here she just went to the car, but sometimes it's longer. The guy is in here taking pictures instead of going out there and bringing HER BACK!

Finally!
